New Moon in Gemini, Sun in Gemini

Coincidently when I was working on this newsletter, I was asked to write an article sharing about my lifestyle. This is so Gemini, any excuse to talk quickly with short answers and they are IN. This New Moon Newsletter is a result of that inquiry.

Here are some of my answers:

What’s your go-to remedy?

For me it’s always time to have fun, turn on the music, get outside, call one of my favorite people, prepare a dinner, tell a story (embellishing it just enough to get everyone laughing), stop to pet an animal, receive a hug, look into the eyes of a stranger, and lose my breath as the sun sets. When evening arrives I’ll find my favorite pajamas, well worn and soft, and drink some organic tea while ending the day with a lot of prayers and gratitude.

No one ever tells you that the mastery of a lifetime is measured by smiles, by the generosity of our heart, the willingness to stop and smell the flowers, the willingness to let the wind ruin our hair. Do we remember to say thank you?

Gratitude for the consistency of your body that never stops cleaning you out, keeping your heart beating, providing enough electricity to keep the circuitry of your system fully operative.

How did we forget that the mundane is the gateway to the sacred? The simplest of acts, when done with consciousness (better known as awareness) become the small privileges that every angel envies. Angels can’t smell the coffee, taste the whip cream, or feel the sweetness of a soft kiss.

So what is the formula for a life well lived?

You’re awake enough to remember this truth: You volunteered for this position! Every time you get it wrong, you are closer to getting it right, because you know how it is. Mistakes are our best friends if you are interested in evolution.

You will know that evolution has occurred when simple pleasures become exquisite constants. The older you get, the better you become. Trust me. I am heading toward my 70th birthday and by doing these things – I have never felt better before in my life.

How do you keep yourself fit & healthy?

In a meditation early in my life, I heard a voice that said: “Exercise keeps us young and healthy.” Not a day goes by that I don’t either walk, bike, hike, swim, do yoga, meditate, or sing. I don’t do all of those everyday. But I make sure that the kid in me is willing to move energy through her body daily, with delight. When that ugly gremlin called depression comes to get me (she used to be a constant) I learned tools to return myself to balance while claiming a life of joy – I made it a constant choice. I choose joy over and over again.

I no longer use a car unless I have to. I ride an electric bike every chance I get. I leave the windows open. I sleep in a cold dark room. I pay attention to the latest biohacking information while finding joy in natural practices: walking barefoot, washing my skin with organic oils and soaps that smell like heaven, speaking nicely to myself in the mirror no matter how many wrinkles I count. Stopping time every chance I get to give thanks. I wear essential oils daily that smell like flowers on my skin.

It’s all about the practice that says, “I am thankful to be alive no matter the circumstance.” The one single formula, being grateful for all things no matter what, brought to me by an elder name Grace VanDuzen when I was very young, has never left my side. This describes why my vitality and youth have been sustainable throughout this lifetime.

Describe your perfect day.

I begin by consulting the Moon, said the Astrologer, to understand the mood of the day, so that I can dance in communion with the cosmos. Never underestimate the magic that waits for those who ask the question: How can I be of service today? That’s how I enter each day.

This explains why I love to work. A life without service makes zero sense to me. So I look for every chance I get to tickle someone, to provoke a new thought, to ask a deep question, to listen deeply to what they are not saying. I stare at people.

While this may sound like work, it comes to me as a delight. This is what constitutes my perfect day. I am fascinated by the human condition. Thanks to social media, I get to sneak into people’s houses, into their devices, into their psyches, into their stories both true and false. As long as the human is engaged and participating in this dream, you can count on me to be watching them.

Gemini: the voice that never tires answering questions, nor asking them. I’d love to hear what your answers would be to your perfect day.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little slice of me. I’d love for you to come and see me at one of my in-person book signings. Click here to see where I’ll be next! And please share with me some of your answers to the questions above. What is your go-to remedy for happiness? What is your perfect day? What seeds are you planting under this Gemini New Moon?

With love,

Debra

P.S. If you haven’t yet, I’d love for you to buy my book: I Don’t Believe in Astrology.

Loved your Gemini and perspective of this shared experience we are creating together with Beautiful, living, scencient energy being Nova Gaia. I love to laugh and have been blessed recently with pop ups of Robin Williams and the Smothers brothers from my age journey. Have also seen clips of info on Joan Baez ( now 82) and Bob Dylan (now 83) that I was not aware of before. Their romantic involvements and marriages navigated in each of their complex unique individual participant journeys with us and Nova Gaia. Source Energy Love and Light is the Key. Be still enough to find it in yourself and recognize it in all energies you encounter and engage with on this Journey. SOURCE ENERGY LOVE AND LIGHT TO ALL!!!

Debra. I’m so aligned with this presentation!!! It’s like reading my own diary but mine without that depth of “awareness” , clarity, acceptance of “BE ing JOY” that you ARE full in Life NOW”! Thank you for the continued support leading, sharing, demonstrating the “KNOWING” of Love, laughter, Living JOY, as Sun Taurus, Moon Sag and Rising GEMINI. 4/25/51. 7:50am ✨💞🦋🤩💎🙏
