ARIES/LIBRA FULL MOON: THE FRIENDSHIP DANCE

This week brings a full moon, with the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra. How I love this combo.

There are also four planets in Pisces this week, so a walk down Memory Lane seems fitting for this full moon… I want to tell you about my childhood best friend, Karen, who had this full moon’s energy in her chart.

Every day after junior high and high school, I walked from my home to hers; my favorite Aries Sun/Libra Moon always left the door open for me. We were BFFs from the get go; she became my home. Her family had a seat at the dinner table just for me — mine didn’t.

It was her energy, her intellect, and her fascination (especially with show tunes and art galleries) that drew me to her. I had never been to a museum or musical before I met her; her world shaped me. I was her sidekick.

Now I know it was because her energy matched mine (Fire and Air). We could talk away the hours, discussing the flowers… every musical, every good book, her love of history… it all contributed to who I am today.

Someone born with a full moon in Aries/Libra creates deep friendships. This combination indicates a person who knows individuality and bonding. The head of the Mafia could be this combo: they will hurt someone who hurts their people. One of the best traits of these people is they let you be you, as a result of their appetite for truth and honesty.

This full moon is asking you: do you participate in the friendship dance (hello, Moon in Libra)? Or do you play the independence game where you are a loner who has given up on people (hello, Sun in Aries)?

The world we live in is just like this week’s sky: there are those who fight and act out, while others talk their way into peace (or at least try to).

This is exactly what Will Smith has in his chart. Libra Sun — Mr. Nice Guy — with Saturn opposite it in Aries: Mr. Impulsive/Reactive. We all saw it on full display at the Oscars (who didn’t see that short video of him hitting Chris Rock?!).

What I learned from my BFF of old was to talk. If it’s after the fact and there is an apology needed — if that’s the only way to manage these two energies — then let it be so.

There is not one true Aries full moon personality who has not gotten in trouble for being the one who screamed, shouted, or hit someone or something in response to anger/frustration. This is not an unusual account. The medicine under this full moon is going from war to peace and knowing how to forgive.

Karen taught me friendship. I learned by her family’s example how to speak up, how to stay close, and how to respect differences. She gave me permission to be all that I am.

I am giving you permission to find the part of you that can deal with the contrast: peace/war. Impulse/calm…
