Sun in Leo, Moon in Leo
Oh what a sky we have! The Sun and Moon are in Leo, described as a Double Leo sky. However, it includes a wildly placed Pluto screaming, without sound, right across from the Sun and the Moon: time for change! Not just to you personally, to all of us. It’s a collective shift.
Surely you have noticed that there is an undercurrent; subtle and yet so loud it feels like a deep rumbling, a shaking up of the old. You must know by now that nothing will ever be the same – radical change has arrived and it is here to stay.
Let’s back that up with the appropriate Astrological lingo. In November 2024, Pluto entered Aquarius for the first time in 240 years. This marked the entrance of a new world: a new language, new values, new tech, new functions for the human – a death and rebirth of the human condition. Talk about a big change.
Another momentous shift happened this month, Uranus entered Gemini. This happens every 84 years and it indicates technical advances that bring a new network of communication. Can you say AI?
This is obvious to us Astrologers, because Uranus rules electrical energy. When electricity has no supervision, no containment, no direction – storms and disturbances are inevitable. There is real potential for crazy storms in our world, inside and out.
Letting go of the jargon, I’ll get personal. I am entering a new phase (aren’t we all) in life. I can’t exactly name the direction I am headed with details, yet in no uncertain terms, I feel the shift, and I feel safe: guard rails in place.
Is it because I live with a positive direction, excited and ready? Why? Well, I use my Leo energy (which I have a lot of) naturally moving toward the fun in life. That’s why I am writing this newsletter to you – to activate that same invitation for you. Use this New Moon and the fiery Leo sky!
The New Moon is asking us to have fun, to find joy. To turn up the volume. We have peaked. This is probably the last summer that will carry the remnants that we humans are living a somewhat sensible life. Soon this will be a faint memory. Far more disruption will continue to surface.
Not in a bad way – not bad if you can handle change with surrender – not bad if you understand that it’s beyond good and bad; change is designed to uncover what isn’t working, to dismantle structures in order to create something new. We are changing. There is no stopping that now. We have walked past logic and predictability.
Logic was left behind as soon as we entered the 2020s. We are living in confusion. Old systems are dissolving.
What will we become?
Will we survive?
Will the human species evolve?
Will AI take over?
Will the people and the governments find their way to serve the human family with a sense of stewardship, or will corporate greed override old fashioned human values of love, sharing, kindness, cooperation, and deep listening?
It’s not easy to maintain such values, and it’s not bad that change has demanded its presence. Time marches along while carrying the consequences of a fast train running wildly toward progress. The problem is, it’s moving without an elder at the helm who understands evolution and kindness, reflection and adjustment – who understands that there is no progress without peace, inside and out.
Leo, while seeking peace, does so with a BIG story. Leo loves drama, and there is much drama with this much change. Try this prayer:
Yes, I accept that we are changing.
Leave us the constants: love, joy, beauty, and the exuberance for life with calm.
Of course, we see AI showing up with its presence; hello Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) in Gemini, the chaperone for its arrival. Please don’t touch what is steady: the ground, stability, nature, our simple values of kindness and deep listening.
Just know that you can use this wildfire of change under a double Leo sky to seek the steady ground that is always holding you. Like right now – the chair beneath you, the ground on the floor, the air you are breathing: all constant causes for celebration.
I love this life.
I surrender to our collective fate.
I willingly play my role.
I keep my awareness open.
Simplicity is the medicine when confusion and vulnerability arrive.
Deep breaths.
Observer on.

I‘m a leo sun, leo rising… with lots of other leo placements (chrion, jupiter, mars). I just wanted to say – thank you for sharing this. I can’t pinpoint what the changes will look like exactly but I can feel that they will shake up my, our lives, especially with pluto staying in leo‘s sister sign. However, the reminder to connect with the fun things, with our joy de vivre is oh so important and helpful. I hope that I too can share this with others that feel scared or struggle to keep their head above water.

Thank you Debra, I am too going through much changes. My daughter and her family including my only grandchildren 2,4, and 6 are moving to another State, my third 13 yr old fur baby passed away last month, my sweet cousin passed away 2 days ago, my daughter wants me to sell my home and move but my other 3 children are still living here at home and up rooting them is hard since rent in San Diego is too high for them. My 79 year old sister is ill and in a nursing home and unable to live on her own anymore. Not sure what’s going to happen with her. I’m almost ready to retire from my job of 18 years and leaving means a big cut in pay (well big for me).
So many changes within the last few months that I feel my world is spinning out of control! I’m a single mom and a single grand parent. Trying to navigate this world without a partner is extremely exhausting. I tried dating and only found more clingy men and very unstable that I felt it was more toxic than worth it so I’m once again trying to handle these decisions by myself.
These changes in 2025 have me so mentally exhausted and unsure of my own future. Your newsletter and videos have helped me but I’m still new to astrology and find it confusing at times. But I feel it’s the closest thing to true guidance that I’ve found. I’m excited to learn more about what it can do to unlock the mysteries of my confusing world. Thank you for all you do.

I am in your Progressed Moon class that is taking place right now (Class #3 today, in fact), and I am loving the insight that knowing about this tool has brought me. I am a pretty advanced astrology student (between intermediate and advance), and I now feel like I can give friends and family astrological advice by looking at their progressed moon so that they can understand the cycle that they are in. I’ve written in a diary since 1972 when I was 12. I’ve set up a whole system of emotional lattice to linger over what is delightful and learn intensely from what is painful. While so much is changing around us, I work on that which I’ve developed internally and with my hands for sanity’s sake. When the astro warns great friction is about externally, I’m glad I’ve worked my life so I can pick and choose the external events I MUST interact with and I’m delighted that I learned how to listen to the deep wise voice within that guided me on and forwards even while the bridge seemed to be crumbling before me.

Greetings from the East Bay in California. First, I have to say thank you for your writing. It really grounded me a lot this morning and made me think. When you ask what grounds me the first thing I thought of was my sheets. Throughout the day when things get tough I think about the time when I get to climb into bed and slide under the sheets. There’s something so grounding about sleep. There’s nothing performative about it. No one to impress. I get to be my true self and process anything that I may have swallowed throughout the day to keep the peace. The dreamworld comes alive and I get to play with illusion. If I could give everyone something in the world, It would be a good night sleep. The slate is wiped clean and we get to start the day full of hope. We will be ok. We will make it through.

I am the 72, I know my place. I know where I come from, and I know where I’m going to stay. I accept my position on this beautiful beautiful planet, I accept it my heart Body and. I accept the fact that this is going to be a very bumpy Tower like ride. I understand that some will fall and there’s absolutely nothing that I can do or anyone can do about that. Their choices their life and as a collective we need to focus on the large picture of everything. Only need to accept the fact and understand that not everybody is going to be here in the end. We chose our positions at the very beginning of all of this, but the problem is is we could not pinpoint the details of where exactly everybody would end up in the end. And it’s sad to say that some have chose the way of the Void and there is nothing we can do about that. They gave their life meaning by giving their life to the void. And before we could convince them that they were more than that they had already been swallowed up. It’s like somebody discovering a black hole in the universe, it may be beautiful it may be large it may be something that you would want to be a part of because it just seems like there’s some sort of mystery to it that you would just be dying to get to know. Not really realizing that this black hole is just feeding on the energy that’s in the area. Human soul goes up to a black hole the black hole doesn’t see a human the black hole season energy source which means it sees food. Once it realize it can manipulate that human to go bring more humans towards it for more food it does so. And this is how voids work. There may be people walking around that look like humans but these vessels have already been absorbed by these voids and have now become walking black holes searching and recruiting More Humans to become food for these voids. And that’s all they are. But to a human they see another vessel they see another human. Especially with the world being so asleep, they don’t see the spirit behind the eyes they just see a human vessel, they hear a human vessel. And if it’s a human vessel there must be a soul within it. I feel like I’m rambling a little bit with this but you get what I’m throwing down I know you do. I feel like today is going to be a tower moment in my life. And Towers aren’t always bad. All it is is like you have said dismantling and building something new.
The way everything is being wiped out everywhere, not feeling it ,the humans are ruining everything. Kinda feel like am ready to go.

As someone who recently lost my closest friend who kept me grounded, I have to say there isn’t much left to keep me on point. It feels very much like I should walk away from everything that’s left and start again with no holdover.
I’m investing in quail & chickens deeply. It doesn’t sound like much, but there’s a whole world of meeting needs and pleasure on so many levels in these turbulent times. Now, if I can master or just learn AI and develop a website!

What I do to get steady is go into a small dark spot in my home. It forces me to stop. My spot is a walk in closet where I have a small bench. I sit for a few minutes it decompresses me. I know that I’m okay and I get a clear focus. Thank you Linda 🙂

I have been intuitively speaking these same truths. OMG, almost word for word in the last month. I knowing that there is a shift and how we must be calm in it because we did choose to be in this time. I am noticing the speed… everything is speeding up and it is almost like we need to step out of the way to allow it to move ahead. There is not way to keep up. We are changing and shifting and the truth is just filling our souls and our Old Beliefs are fading away and those that are open and ready for the shift are realizing the changing of beliefs and are raising our vibration with the collective. As you spoke about AI, Pluto in Aquarius, and the collective transformation, I felt called to share something that’s been on my heart for a while—something that may sound a bit ‘out there,’ but I believe these times ask us to stretch our imaginations and go beyond the veil.
What if there is more to the control system than just corporate greed or AI? Some of us feel that this reality is more than just shifting politics or evolving tech—it’s a matrix, a soul trap, where Saturn plays a parasitic role, using the Moon as a front to filter and recycle consciousness. I’ve seen this idea echoed in symbolism from media,like the game Pac-Man “Program and Control Man” where ghosts ( perhaps souls? ) are consumed and returned to the box. Could this be a disclosure of what’s actually happening behind the scenes?
If this Saturn-Moon matrix is real, how do we escape? I wrestle with this: is surrender enough, or must we fight—spiritually, energetically—for our liberation? Do we develop inner tools to cut ties from parasitic systems or seek out esoteric knowledge long hidden from us?
I deeply respect the grounded hope you offer here. And I wonder, can we both surrender to the present moment and rebel against the unseen forces that seek to keep us trapped?
Thank you again for your wisdom. You remind us that even amid vast cosmic change, the breath, the earth, and our hearts can remain our steady ground. I’ve been watching this setup as it slowly moved into position. Today, I’ve got more ‘blue’ interaction than ‘red’ between my natal chart and the current transiting planets. I keep telling myself that I chose this.
My natal Sun is at 4 Scorpio, AC is at 13 Aquarius, Mars is at 15 Leo, Pluto is at 14 Leo, Saturn is at 21 Leo. My Moon is at 21 Aries, Jupiter is at 0 Sag, and Neptune is lost, intercepted at 11 Libra. I haven’t forgotten Uranus, my chart ruler, is in my 5th house, retrograde in Gemini. Mercury is retrograde in Scorpio with Chiron and my South Node. I’m not sure what is coming, but I’m betting I’ll notice it!

First, THANK YOU Debra for telling me we’ve finally arrived in Aquarius! Been waiting my whole life (same age as Colette)! I’m Gemini with rising in Aquarius so when I read Uranus is in Gemini , I also thought about me. You are the Master Astrologer, so I probably won’t tell you what you already know, but I’ve always found my rising helps balance out my frenetic energy of my sun.. I start things, but it helps me finish them. I talk to everyone about anything. So, I have hope that communication will be a big part of change. I see this already in the world I’m glad the domineering patriarchal influence will lessen. Just as I feel my Sun and Rising balance me, I’m hoping this will carry into the world. I’ve always felt my Signs give me Hope, even when my Pisces Moon is crying for all the injustices and unnecessary pain that humans inflict on each other. Our world has been ‘speeding up’ for a while now (generational). Instant communication seems to be where we are headed, World Leaders will be held accountable then. And siloed health research will be brought together through thought. What an interesting time to be alive! But don’t forget to stop and look at the beauty of a sunrise.

My steady ground, sometimes the only thing that has held me to this world for the last 6 years(!) are my children. I am almost 55, and they are grown and having their own 😊 they bring me joy.
I have been feeling the changes for a long time now. Sometimes I feel like I am watching everything while I’m outside of it, it’s strange. I have gone through some very dark places to get to where I am now. I still don’t know what my purpose in these times are, I just know I am drawn to places at a crossroads and that I feel the need to help others, and be kind in their struggles. I try to bring the light no matter what. I know I am safe, but they do not.
