Bye bye fun-loving Gemini… we have arrived in the sensitive land of Cancer.
You must know by now: whenever there is a full moon, the Moon and the Sun are opposite each other in the sky, and we talk about duality. Here we go…
This full moon has special significance for everyone. The dance of Cancer and Capricorn is between truth and denial.
“Yes, I want the truth, just not right now… let’s talk about it later,” says everyone at some time.
There can’t be many of you who aren’t suffering from the emotional overload of the warm summer of 2021. It’s hot and crowded out there.
The record hottest temps just happened in Palm Springs, California, where it matched the highest temp ever recorded: 123 degrees Fahrenheit.
Death Valley hit 128 degrees in June — the highest temp measured anywhere on Earth so far this year.
No matter where you live, you may be feeling the heat — even if it’s only on the inside, emotionally. It doesn’t have to show up on the outside.
In fact, it’s cold on the southern hemisphere. They are in winter, yet the full moon affects us all.
The moon addresses our inner world and the temperature therein. So, during this full moon in the sign of Cancer — you may touch your tenderness, vulnerability and loneliness. Full moons exaggerate emotions at the best of times, but a full moon during Cancer — you bet you’re going to feel. Or are you?
The Moon in Capricorn says: ‘I have no time for emotions!’ Do you have the Capricorn voices that say: ‘It is time to work, focus and stay the course no matter what? Pull up your big (girl/boy) pants. Don’t stop for your ‘feelings.” Welcome to a full moon in Cap.
The Moon in Capricorn calls forward our universal cold fish who negates ‘feelings,’ suggesting we deny any of the stupid human stuff. You unconsciously go numb, no choice involved… so that you can celebrate what matters most: your success, your financial achievements, and striving to be the best.
Cold-blooded ambition is all that matters according to Capricorn. To get shit done and NOT focus on the feelings.
To feel or to go numb? Really, do we have to decide between these two under this extreme weather? I choose neither.
Too bad, I actually have both flavors in my chart. A strong Saturnian personality type: I am a workaholic. Ambition is natural to me. Actually, I like that part of me. But not at the expense of my ‘feelings/intuition.’
At a young age, I had to learn how to stay close to my ‘feelings,’ because they were stalking me. After recently finding my journal from junior high school (yes, during Cancer season, we reminisce), I remembered how early my stomach issues arrived.
I had an ulcer my whole childhood — without knowing it. I just thought that feeling bad was normal. Literally, I stuffed my feelings and kept to myself. Then I was encouraged to find therapy and healed my inner world and my physical body — they are so closely related.
I am working very hard now on facing my emotions as we address the crazy world symptoms of our times — specifically climate change. I am not going to make a list of all the things gone wrong… just know that I am studying. I am obsessed.
I have jumped down the rabbit hole (since the last full moon) and am watching one documentary after another… (list to be included below)
I am so sad. I let myself cry. I do so alone. I have spent hours watching and studying, because who wants to watch all this stuff with me? I have noticed some of my friends (the less-sensitive ones) are already getting bored with my new studies.
Funny enough, I feel empowered. I am determined to face the truth — feel, cry, and then find the means to make a difference.
I do this in the name of my Father. This is the honorability he taught me (he was born under this Cancer/Cap flavor) — you must feel the pain. You let the tears come and then……. do not keep going in the hole. That’s what he called depression: a hole in the street to be avoided.
How?
You do something.
Coming soon to your neighborhood, I will be sharing my newest means to help. Far beyond recycling or teaching Astrology and ignoring what is happening.
Something else; however, I am not clear yet. I’m in process and celebrating this full moon so that I can feel, and then do something meaningful.
Let’s celebrate the pain body. What a weird sentence. How do we celebrate pain?
‘We care,’ said every Cancer. I sure do. And as a student of life: I seek wisdom (Capricorn) at all costs.
Nothing will stop my search. Or my desire to help through this very awkward time we are living through.
More on that soon.
Sending my sweet tears. I love to feel.
This is Cancer season; let’s swim to our open hearts.
I took a dive and am inviting you too.
Blessings,
Debra

Dear Debra,
I love hearing from you and yes I feel your heart and your compassion. Nature and us have been together since the beginning of time and that’s my healing moments as well. Working in the garden with my hands in the dirt or being at beach makes me feel renewed and so connected and so grateful. As a Gemini I also seek knowledge and I see things that makes me wonder if others see and understand what I do but often I really just want to ask “do they??”. Thank you for all of your intuition and knowledge that you’ve shared with all of us, you really do a great job of helping us understand so much better of what’s going on and a bit more why. You’re the Sista that perhaps has more Sistas that you could even imagine. Yes, I consider myself one of them because after all we are all in this amazing world together. Love you from across the USA in Florida, Punta Gorda
My full moon in Scorpio loves when you go deep… and now you’re really speaking to my Taurus heart in finding meaningful ways to heal the Earth. You Rock, Debra!
I just love your delivery and voice Debra- you always nail it!
Thanks! It’s wonderful to find someone to add to my “Real Deal” list!
Well done you Debra! I have dipped my toes into this subject on and off since global warming was discovered in the 80s and recoil in overwhelm every time. I am relieved to see so many waking up to the insanity of human behaviour; but also saddened by how global corporations and politics slow to change. I look forward to your sharing your newest means to help after processing the painful reality of our predicament.
Much Love,
Lou
Oh do I feel! For years! The anger and sadness of what we’re doing to life on earth. The anger and the sadness of what we’re doing to our First Nations people. Oh the feels… all this climate information has been available for years, I learned about it in junior high school in the 70s!! It’s not new… I’ve felt from a very young age the pain of indigenous peoples and over the years learned more about it… NOW is the time for action! My little ways don’t seem to make a difference. I NEED TO GO BIGGER and have no idea how ??????
Btw there are many more videos/documentaries. “The need to grow” is one that comes to mind. “The Biggest Little Farm” on Netflix is very uplifting on how ordinary people made a huge difference, a difference that can be seen, inspiring!
This last year has been an emotional upheaval. And the last two days have been crazy, both at work and in my emotional life. Thank you for sharing this as it has shed a little light on what I have been dealing with. Wish I could watch your videos and live presentations but being on satellite internet it gobbles up my allotment in no time. Hugs to you.
The docu-series Down To Earth really affected me. I have since switched to reusable snack/sandwich bags and beeswax wraps in place of plastic. I have also started a compost bin.
Debra ?
I’m watching CHOOSING EARTH. A climate emergency and greed omfg. It is like a terminal diagnosis.
I have to get my head around this and continue to decrease my footprint. This is happening in our lifetime 2020-2030. We have to help each other.
Oh my Debra thanks for sharing this information.
I think your doing amazing things. I’m with you all the way.
Much love
Annette xx
You are amazing! Thank you so much for reminding this emotion-denying , forging -ahead Capricorn to ALLOW my emotional life to participate with the rest of me.
Wow. That completely changed my relationship to my day.
Yay, you!
Best, Susan
Thank you Debra for your insight into Cancer/cap. After following your site for over a year, the cyclical and yet different nuances of our lives are more clearly understood. I was raised to tolerate all the crap in life, as though I was fated to experience the sadness and lowness forever. I am an optimist by nature, so I was treated as rebellious. Funny how being around other optimists and happy people changed my perspective. Now with a better understanding of the planets influence, I see how we can redefine our lives and strive toward the higher good. This is so cool!

Hi Debra,
I too feel the pain despite a lot of cap influence in my chart. I feel sad but couldn’t put my finger on it. Thank you for the list of documentaries. Watching them will be on my full moon to do list.
Nancy
Being a Capricorn I have difficulty really feeling altogether sometimes…..sometimes I think there’s something wrong with me that I don’t feel as deeply as others….and then other times like with this moon I feel nothing but anger and random rage for no reason really I just find myself triggering myself with my own thoughts which is incredibly frustrating at times…..I watched a beautiful documentary called “the octopus my teacher” which I balled my eyes in bc it truly helped me feel into my north node in Taurus….such a beautiful moving documentary that really helped me bring myself into focus and breath….I will be watching this today for my third time I’m sure. ?
I am A cancer / Scorpio/ ascending Libra I fall under most of what you say about cancers but get confused on the scorpio part i feel that just a s much birthday July 4-1960
If you haven’t already, consider adding WHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW to your list of films to watch.
WHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW changed my life in so many ways??
You are a blessing to us all Debra!! I learn SO MUCH from you in SO MANY WAYS!!! I too grew up with stomach aches and ulcers. WISH I could say that I found therapy and healing that helped me… I’m still on that journey searching for a way to feel better. But you give me SO MUCH HOPE!!
I too have always been a student of nature and share your concerns about how we are affecting our Earth!! It’s maddening how irresponsible some are when caring/not attentive to the needs of our only vehicle!
If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly suggest watching the YouTube video of Jason Momoa’s Powerful Climate speech to the UN!! He words it perfectly!!
Keep up the GREAT WORK you do!! And thank you again for always sharing!!
Katie
I am longer and deeper into Eco-grief than most: as a biologist, I’ve been watching this oncoming tsunami for two decades. It feels like anything I can personally do is too small. Currently I’m raising endangered Western Monarch butterflies as a hobby. Only about 2000 overwintered last winter – yet I have 20 caterpillars on my picnic table right now! Every beauty that flies really is a note of hope.
I sense a tipping point in social awareness and a turn toward facing the ecological facts and the hard work ahead. I feel less alone, more heard – especially as I hear concern from people beyond the scientific community. It truly will take everyone pulling together. I’m ambitious for my generation to shape up before we hand the planet over to our kids, who really will experience the tsunami slamming their shore. I also tutor and mentor that generation: they are determined and really inspiring. I so appreciate the spiritual community for an outlet from stress, a higher perspective, a sense of purpose. Thank you for your unique contribution to planetary well-being. Let us all tie on our boots and do our part.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! It is a journey we of this planet are all on whether we know it or not!
I love how you ‘talk’ in your writing, it is so personal and you are very courageous, and I am so greatful for your sharing.
Words fail me,
Angela
