Moon in Leo, Sun in Aquarius

This Full Moon is not an easy sky to deal with. We have the Sun in Aquarius, the Moon in Leo, and Uranus in Taurus which all make a giant “T” in the sky. T stands for tension, meaning there are some frustrated energetics in the sky.

We all know the feeling: one part of you wants to be free, no need for societal dictates, and another part of you longs for approval that will include celebrations with others and recognition, says Leo. And then Taurus puts her foot down – no way am I standing apart, getting noticed, and having all these people around. I need quiet.

See the conflict? People come to Astrologers to deal with this tug-of-war. So many factions, all arguing. Kind of like politics, there are such different values that exist under one roof – your psyche! I know the feeling.

My career is growing. We just had the biggest launch since the pandemic, my book is about to come out, and my world is rocking and rolling. You may not know this, a part of my personality just longs for quiet, for reflection, to meditate, and to just be (said every Mercury in Taurus). However, life is not allowing much extra time for that right now. There are brief moments that I have really learned to grab.

You may be the opposite. Wondering where you can get back to the world and fuel your passion. Perhaps you started studying with us, and you’re on fire. Or maybe you feel lost.

There are so many variables determining what season you are in. The dance of this Full Moon is to get over the conflict and just surrender.

Don’t argue with life. At the same time you must work, move, get up, and say out loud: “I am all yours life; I want to dance with you even with my confusion or resistance. I am here to follow the wind, the stars and most of all the contract that was signed by my soul that I am now living out, even if I feel stuck.”

Whatever your contract, the clue that you are living a life of service comes in many shapes. You may have kids, grandkids, you have a job, or a passion that lights you up. While it might not make money, you keep singing, playing your instrument, writing because you are compelled. These are the clues that life is using you to fulfill your agreement, to manifest your gifts, even with your internal struggle.

No matter the assignment, the most important message to give your soul, over and over again, is: I am all yours. I want you to lead. I may resist, but do not give up on me. I’m listening.

Lucky me, I knew about prayer at a very young age, and when the cosmos or the politics, or the family is not easy: I keep going. I will never let my light dim. Not with your presence in my life and your willingness to read my newsletters and stay with me.

Have I said thank you lately? I am so grateful under the Full Moon in Leo to receive your attention and say again and again: your soul is waiting for you to remember who you are. Your soul has your back. I promise it is wondering why you don’t ask for more.

That’s why this Full Moon’s frustration is good. It is asking you to ask spirit for help. So, let’s all stop and do a prayer.

Help me to ask for help.

Give me signs of what to do next.

Show me how to forgive myself.

Repeat this: Forgive me for judging myself about ________ (fill in the blank).

Just keep asking for help. I will always be here doing the same.

With love and aloha,

Debra

P.S. I’d like to share something I wrote during one of my Tell Me A Story (TMAS) workshops. In Tell Me A Story, we work with the 4 Elements and our Observer to heal the pain body by writing our stories.

*TW: mention of stillbirth, rape.

What I Left Behind

I left behind a country that I believed in,

hardly listened to the news back then, but when I did, I believed what I heard.

Not anymore

A sense of safety for all refugees in this country,

I really thought of America as a melting pot for all people, religions, and cultures.

Just like my grandparents when they arrived here from Russia

On a boat

with only what they could carry,

I believed in that American dream.

Not anymore

I felt like we were going into a happy ending

while moving through our evolutionary experiment of this life

So we ought to be patient and safe.

Not anymore

I am still an optimist – hopeful, yet laced with a strong fear that our collective has decided

to ruin this experiment.

We are about to watch a stillborn birth,

tear-stained

by all of us who are watching.

I left behind my love to vote,

My pride of being an American, the hope of a country based on principles I adored.

My heart breaks for the children who no longer feel safe in our schools

The kids who know technology better than they know their neighbors.

I remember when we left our doors open

Running into Julie’s house without ringing the bell

to use the bathroom,

Free to stay out late, riding home on our bikes.

Just yesterday, I heard of a rape in the mountains that I so often hike in

where I go every week to be alone to spend hours not seeing humans.

Then I heard this awful tale of an 18-year-old

Innocently hiking here because her mom is dying, and she flew here to be with her.

Went off to have a day alone

Only to be betrayed by this reality.

Was it ever even safe?

Was that my imagination?

Did the government really care about us

and my refugee friends?

Or was that all a dream?

Did I leave behind a false sense of what this life is?

And I am expected to believe 2025 is as it should be?

No, I will not give up on hope

And that this too shall pass

Into a far more beautiful world

Even if this one has to die

in order for the next to be born.

I’m scared

I’m hopeful

I’m emotional

Whenever I allow myself to think too deeply.

Let’s Pray

That there will be a soft embrace by the god/desses

as they take us out of our misery

Into a new reality we haven’t seen yet.

    Dearest Debra,

I, too, am praying and in the meantime I’m shining a brighter light every day in every way 💖 I am so grateful to you, for your love of astrology, for helping people to heal from their traumas and confusion, for creating all of your life-changing programs for all of us to discover our soul and it’s calling, and most of all … for being YOU! Your unbridled self, giving us all our permission slips to be who we came here to be and learning how to take the high road 🙏🏻 I am eternally grateful to you and for you, Debra 💖

Your writing is absolutely profound and touches my heart in every elemental way 💖

I pray you continue your soul’s calling and take the time your soul needs to “just be” so that you can fill back up and give to your soul’s calling once again 💖

    Aho and Aloha 🙏🏻

Wow, Debra! As always – you nailed it! I hear your voice even through your written passion! Been following you for many years with the idea I’ll take one of your courses. I’m great for signing up , not great at follow through as my virtual closet is full of courses never worn , price tags still on!🙀

Keep telling myself one day when I get it together. I will do …. (Spoken like a true adhd’r!). We teach what we need to learn. That all said I bought & read your elemental book when it first came out – loved it!

Any way I am making a commitment this year to get a reading – it’s maybe a jot more passive astrology but right now it’s the most I can commit to🧚‍♀️

Thx to you and your team’s gifts to the world and giving hope! Make yourselves great week!

    Warmly,
    Brenda

Thank you Debra as I was almost there in class this time. At the moment we received a high dollar amount fee kind of out of the blue, threatening us to pay, and we are trying to have our due process by their own rules, which they are not following, trying to resolve this. So there went my class money and hopefully we will get this resolved and eliminated and I can save it for the next class. I am heart and soul centered to do this with you. It is my calling I believe now more than ever. Your prayer helped me with perspective since I am feeling all of this wondering if I was the only one. I have been following you since the very beginning and am so lovingly grateful for all your generosity throughout the years that has helped me in my growth and evolving process. I love you and all of those who create with you and hope to meet you. Faith baby!!love, light, peace. Karen Distelzweig

Thank you Debra for your post this morning. Your reading for the full moon gave me hope – I am being challenged right now to step up and do something that I know I can do but am fearful that I won’t succeed. And, I know I can do it.
I also felt the disappointment and fear in the story written. I was born in California and sometimes no longer feel safe in my own state , my world. I work hard at staying out of fear. Many blessings to you. Oh I too have Mercury in Taurus, – square Jupiter🙏🏼❤️

  • Tracy L Jackson says:

What an impactful and truly thought provoking post, Debra. It resonates with this Mercury in Taurus soul. Thank you for the spiritual manna.

I am a Gnostic first. Verify through the planets in my chart agreement, this time around. My gut tells me you are leaning too far left with rose colored glasses. Tough love i lerned by living with nature.. Just a suggestion… come back to your center we will all be better for it.

  • Stephanie Wilson says:

Thanks for this love note Debra, it was much needed today.

What a beautifully written and heartfelt story! Thank you for putting into words what so many of us are feeling. I’m going to copy this into my journal so that I can carry it with me. I’m looking forward to your new book, for myself and for a few friends who are ready for this information. <3

That prayer is so beautiful. It addresses my fears, my concerns, my losses. I don’t understand when we stopped believing in something better and started supporting the lies and jargon regardless of proof. Now we can believe nothing, and yet there is the whisper of hope . Thank you.

  • Paul Cobb says:

Thank you for sharing some of your unique individual experiences and desires for the collective experiences that we are creating together. WE ARE THE gods/goddesses that we seek for our salvation. As crazy as the idea seems in our perceived NOW, WE ARE ONE; FRACTALS OF SOURCE ENERGY LOVE AND LIGHT. We can choose Peace and harmony in Unity and Oneness with Nova Gaia and all of our Cosmic families. Recently received messages from two different energy beings offering Love and support for my unique individual journey. The first was a feline energy being from the Vega system who informed that if he manifested a perceived manifested form that he would appear as a 40 foot tall black panther. The second was an energy being from the Orion Light Counsel. I am a weird LEO birthdate homosapien male.

    Your poem moved me.
Thank you and your spirit for a way with words and evoking truth.

Thank you for always talking about what matters. I look forward to reading your newsletters because I know you will “go there” — something many people struggle to do with the grace that you do. My hope continues like yours, and it is a hope in the children and the future generations. Today I watched as a child I had been tutoring, started tutoring another little one. I believe that’s why we’re here: to hand down the values of kindness, gentleness, and compassion to our little ones. They need as many conscious ones among us as possible to model these values if we want a better world. So keep going! I’ve seen a few more of your interviews, and you’re rocking each one! Happy I get to learn more astrology and pick up more wisdom from you in each one.

  • Kathryn says:

That was beautiful and hit my heart painfully.

  • Jann says:

    Dear Debra
Thankyou for confirming that other souls are feeling this desperation of WHY? Why is this happening to our beautiful world. Why is the dream turning dark?
I pray every day for help to understand what is going on. The poor refugees pulled from this country and now thoughts of The Gaza Strip being considered for new real estate where some many people who actually survived the hell of the last few months are now being displaced to some unknown unsafe location decided by a few selfish people. Everyday a new change . I really put my armor on if I decide to
Watch the news and I find a lot of it hard to take.
    My mom alsoCame
To the US to find a better place to call home from the Netherlands . She passed away last September. I miss her a lot, but feel it’s a blessing she hasn’t had to live with the rapid changes happening daily.
I so appreciate your newsletters and daily astrology updates. It has helped me flow easier with the current state.
I’m Soul happy for this community of love and light.
    You are an angel.

Thank you Debra for speaking what we can only say in our tears and deep sadness, beyond words. I will ALWAYS believe that Light overcomes darkness. Not on our time table but on Creator, the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Together our small lit matches can make a bonfire that ignites this world, once again.

  • Deborah says:

Your words illuminate the full moon in Leo energy. Aquarius sun illuminating moon in Leo. Roar,
    Lion,
    Roar.
Sun reflecting back Sun energy. I think you captured it!

    Xoxo

  • Davida says:

Beautiful, Debra! I feel the same way and don’t even live in the US. I find myself wanting to flee. Wanting to find what feels safe. Find my joy again.

Thx for such an honest genuine story. I feel the same pain and look forward to using this trauma as a paintbrush, creating a piece of art so beautiful we won’t ever want to leave it.

    Love and loveliness….to everyone!
