A double Pisces sky.
Admittedly – I am altered.
It started just from sitting here with my childhood friend, watching him nap as he recovers (does anyone really recover?) from his recent dose of chemo. I am slowed down to his pace; not the usual Debra.
My ego’s needs, my desires, my rhythm is altered. I am not doing “Deb”, this is what friendship looks like. We change for those we love, we serve!
I am altered from the insert of stem cells I just received just a few days ago in Mexico. I am altered from last night’s gummy. For the first time in my life, I took a gummy to help me sleep. In normal life, I am an expert sleeper, however with too much energy the night before (thank you stem cells and jet lag), I couldn’t sleep. It went on for a long time.
Welcome to double Pisces: where alterations from the ordinary state of consciousness are welcomed. I lay in bed, in that liminal space between worlds, reflecting on Pisces.
Asking myself: what is the draw for a Pisces to leave the ordinary world behind? “Well,” said the Astrologer, “That depends on how much Earth you have in your chart. How influential Neptune, the Water signs, and the Water houses are in influencing you. How much you find this reality assaulting – if you feel the need to escape.”
I think there are two kinds of people. Those who actually need to escape – it is essential for their survival and wellbeing. In order to regulate their nervous system, they need time out. They don’t socialize well. They love the quiet or being intoxicated. I had a friend who passed a few years ago who drank every day, and smoked pot all day, sourced by his very full garage where he had homegrown in season for years — oh, and his need for spiritual books to reflect all day long. He could not live in our world as is, and he was brilliant!
For others, they have zero need to escape. They like to live inside a hard reality. They have a persona solid as a rock, dependable and probably identified as the designated driver, the grounded one, the responsible person. Think of your grandmother, or that stern teacher you had, or maybe it was the mean mom you had that never had a smile on her face.
What is it that will draw these lines strongly into our characters? How is it that we are all so different? These are never-ending Pisces questions. Why does Astrology work? Is it true that the stars are so compelling we simply cannot resist? Is there free will? It seems to me, as a seasoned Astrologer, that the stars are always at work. ALL. WAYS. CONSTANTLY.
Is this why Astrology has been having an increasing reflection in our world? I am so proud to say our school continues to grow year after year, including people from all over the world of all different ages. This topic was brought to us in the last two and a half years while Saturn was in Pisces. It just left Pisces this month, yet its influence was obvious.
Astrology is here now. Is it because the sky has all the space to accept every version of reality and we are desperate to find acceptance and harmony inside our chaotic reality? Why can’t we allow the differences of all creation to be acceptable, even beautiful, including A.I.’s? Truth be told, seen through the lens of Pisces, every single chart, soul, star configuration has magic and potential waiting in the wings.
This is how Pisces people think. They are the dreamers, the escape artists who read their day away, excessively scroll, garden, exercise, write, clean, cook, study Astrology… you tell me, what do you do with your day without even trying? Which world do you inhabit without any effort? This is the Neptunian/Piscean energy working through you.
This is one of the highest values of Astrology – to remind us of our promise. Who did we sign up to be down here? What was our job description? What did the fine print say on our signed contract, set in place by the timing of our birth, written in the Akashic Records?
I bet you cannot remember. I am working on it. I have had glimpses with and without being altered. I have to say the most significant magical downloads that have informed my identity occurred under the influence of a softer focus. Yes, I have had some downloads in my dream time, in my visits to the liminal world, and with the help of plant medicine.
Under this sky I am in meditation, another Pisces special listening mechanism. I am always asking: how can I serve you in this newsletter to let you know that whatever you are dealing with in this life — whether you are in charge, in control, inviting in magic, or longing for some comfort without time or a checklist — there is no right or wrong. Thank you for your thoughtful words. Having an understanding of my natal chart has been a profound experience of confirming my knowledge of who I am, and what I have always known. What times we are living in!! I am a one degree Pisces Sun ( second house stellium) 24 degree Cancer moon and 0 degrees Capricorn rising. With my Birthday on 2/20 and the passing of my mom on the morning (6am) 2/17 my chart is light up, and I stand as the observer thanks to knowledge from level one Astrology created by you and mentored by AstroAuntie.

My Neptune in Libra in the 12 th house follows a sensitivity. I also have three planets in Scorpio and Scorpio rising in the first house. As I look through a lens of harsh reality my psychic ability to feel deeply those horrible things that are real. Years I tried to cover up those negative aspects that were in my face but looked at the made up illusion of peace to keep my sanity. As I’m now safe from harm in my own peaceful environment I can now see the ideal but hold on the reality with what I can accomplish not only dream about. Currently I’m holding on to peace without the interruption of the tv. I feel the truth with out seeing it. I read between the lines of media. Finding the limits on both sides and staying far away from those who create negativity. Learning to meditate. Learning a type of self discipline. Staying in reality but not loosing touch of what my dreams are. Float tank today will allow me escape for an hour. Hide myself while I heal. Moon in Capricorn keeps me grounded in all this chaos.

Nice. I wondered for a long time why I had ‘this kid’. Then I realised he shared his birthdate with 3 of my friends. 2 more are born after & before his birthdate. How can I know so many Pisces? We love our Pisces people. They are fine just as they are. But I think behind every Pisces is an Earth sign, holding them steady. Hang in there Pisces.

You asked what world we inhabit without any effort… I inhabit self care, honoring the body, mind and spirit. You’ve seen my chart, Taurus Sun, Scorpio Moon and Leo Rising. I’m pulled and pushed between comfort and the depths while another part longs for a stage upon which to share it all. It can be a lot for others to understand and sometimes for me too. This double Pisces energy makes me want two things; to dive deeply in creating art and to make plans for vacation… which I wish could be now!

I didn’t realize until I read your post how my 2nd house Pisces shapes the fluid relationship I have with my money/wealth/material possessions. In this regard, I see now how I long to earn my worth through my intuition, purpose, and soul-led creativity combined and flowing with the mystical, and the magical.
I ama triple Capricorn…Sun, Moon and Mercury…no wonder Saturn’s pass through Pisces was so much harder than I expected. It has been a reckoning between money’s flow in and out of my life and the structures that need to dissolve and be rebuilt now in Aries. What an AHA!
