Full Moon in Virgo loves to collect any and all information.
We live in a time where there are countless podcasts out there. I have to admit one of my guilty pleasures is listening to the wisdom of these numerous, spectacular beings who know all about: biohacking, sacred medicine, Astrology, gene keys, religion, UFO’s, esoteric law, men, women, sex, and so much more. It’s a Virgoian heaven to be in an auditory library with endless options, that are free — and have access to all that info streaming directly into our ears.
Then there are the memes, the endless scrolling of one-liners, and new insights that in the old days Virgo spent hours collecting, underlining, and saving for a rainy day. There are photos and stimulations galore on social media to last a lifetime.
Who doesn’t love all this social media? A Full Moon in Pisces. Well, they do but they don’t. This Full Moon brings forward this kind of yes and no energy. Pisces hates and loves social media at the very same time. Maybe that’s true for you, too.
In the olden days, we would stare into space, we walked slowly into town, to school, to the bus stop, to the shops down the road. We rode old-fashioned bikes. We had spare time for our minds to float without any kind of device in our hands. I really do remember that!
The Virgo in all of us went to the library, looked up the books according to categories and sat in those uncomfortable chairs, and just pondered. The Pisces in all of us would pick out vinyl records and listen to classical music and musicals. Those times have passed.
We now grab our phone unconsciously. I hear myself say countless times a day, inside my head and outside: where is my phone?
I heard a joke recently that as God was talking to Saint Peter, up at the pearly gates, He asked him, when looking into the waiting room for all the people standing in lines to come into heaven, “Why is everyone looking down at their hand in front of their faces like that?”
It’s just going to continue, billions of people have their own cell phone — we go nowhere without the phone.
I have a feeling the urgency of modern living is now passing by for the older ones, but the kids have only just begun. There are so many Virgos who still want the smell of the book, the turning of the pages in their hand. But not everyone.
Truth be told, we are all a bit addicted –the phone, the podcasts, the stimulation of information gathering without even leaving the computer…we have left behind the empty mind that was built to be creative. Certainly it has ended the full access to daydreaming. I remember wondering what would be in a future that in my imagination looked like the Jetsons — I never envisioned us holding a device in our hand.
This Full Moon with three planets in Pisces and Mars in Cancer begs the question: do we need to slow down our fast-paced, addicted behavior that on one hand satisfies Virgos (better known as our mind’s appetite for endless, distracting information) yet on the other has us in a whole new dream life during the day that keeps distant from each other?
Someone told me smartphones are weapons of mass distraction. This Full Moon is all about the duality of Virgo wanting new technology and Pisces longing for quiet, staring into space, and letting go of this demanding reality.
How does it sit for you?
Debra

It is a double edged sword topic. My phone is a great tool for information, tasks and communication. It is also my main source for entertainment and can be a time suck if I’m not mindful. I have to have discipline and specific times when I use it and just play music to accomplish the physical things or socialize.
I am a Pisces sun – no smart phone and still play my vinyl!
Virgo sun with Pisces moon here….so this really resonates Debra. And being born just after the full moon; my Pisces pull is very strong. I adore researching those details that support my deep dive into ancient cultures/civilizations, art, consciousness & energy healing modalities and at the same time truly express them through the dreamer, visionary artist and shamanic ritualist. My moon holds and melds my Virgoan flow; generating something usable and viable for myself & to share with others. For me, there is a third body to the dualistic Yin/Yang, rather like the Celtic triple knot, but balance is the key. My creative mind is strong by meditation and art journaling etc. I am also witnessing such a disconnect from our natural world with the masses; due to profound continuous bombardment of distractions and programming. Ugh.
I wish we taught meditation, ritual and nature 101 in the classrooms. And yep…I love the smell of a new book and the smell of sharpening my graphite pencil before I lay mark to paper.
I am already feeling this Full Moon energy. It feels like I’ve fallen into a parallel crack but the scenery hasn’t changed. I felt huge emotions Saturday night. I felt very frustrated and abandoned, which could be the square to my natal Mars in Sagittarius at 25 degrees building. I needed my faith to give me answers but not a whisper I heard. After breaking down into a cry, the morning brought a sense of relief. On my long walk today, things were mystically mixed with me questioning if I had fallen into magical thinking to end the torment.
My dad was an addicted Pisces but I do remember him sitting on the beach bench just staring out into the ocean. I wondered how he could sit so still and look so peaceful. When I approached he had me sit next to him and just said something like look out there, how far it goes. I got ants in my pants, couldn’t do nothing for that long. But I really appreciate that memory now that I am 72 and finally slowing a little bit.

Haha .. in 2013 we watched the movie Back To The Future with our then 10-year old daughter. She watched all this projected future (from the perspective of the 80s) and commented “There’s no phones; no one has a phone [in their hand]”
My husband says that the phones will be gone in another 10 years – in favour of the watch, the wall, the Star Trek-like devices that we will wear…
Change is the only constant.
Simplicity, Silence. I had the privilege when younger to experience sitting alone next to a high mountain lake in the Sierra Nevada range eating my lunch with my horse and mule nearby just observing the beauty of Mother Earth. Can’t get much better than that in an incarnation here. Colorado has some of that to offer; do you get to enjoy and immerce yourself in it?
As a Virgo Rising with her Mercury RX in Pisces, I much prefer the smell and feel of a book in my hand to that of a device in my hand. I actually went without a cell phone for the past several years and get this had only a landline. I only got a cell phone in March of this year in order to be able to go on an adventure to New York for the Solar Eclipse in April. I still have the landline. Some of my friends will only text and so the cell phone is helpful for staying in touch with them. Business related calls go through the landline, some of my friends and family call it as well. I have two large book shelves filled to maximum capacity with Herbalism, Healing, Astrology, Philosophy, Spirituality, etc. books. I am an avid reader. I enjoy a good podcast or YouTube video(usually Astrology related), as well. However, I begin my day with a glass of water followed by, on most days, with sunbathing in my balcony garden, either before or after I water it, followed by cardio, weight training and yoga. Breakfast time varies, I follow the hunger cues that my body sends me. Most days I am involved in my course work for the Medical Astrology Foundations with Heather Eland. I am also engaged in giving Astrology readings and building my Astrology Business and website. Some days I have a lot of errands and on Tuesdays I go to a weekly farmers market. I eat as organic and wholesome as possible. I eat my final meal of the day by 4 or 5 pm. I go for a daily evening walk, sometimes immediately after my meal and sometimes closer to sundown. Sometimes, I enjoy the sunshine and bright colors and sounds of my small town Colorado life. Other times I enjoy a walk under the darkness of the night sky, the moon in whatever phase that she may appear and the planets and stars and the peacefulness and quiet. I always leave my cell phone at home, so that I can travel light and be at one with the experience. I am already feeling the influence of the upcoming Full Moon/Partial Eclipse in Pisces. My one on one interactions have been much different and I wonder what it might bring to me and my life. Maybe a business partner? Maybe a life partner? Maybe more clients? Just 3 days ago, at noon I heard from my former husband, the conversation was about child support/money. Former husband has his Moon in Pisces@19 degrees. Later, that evening, while I was on my evening walk, I had a surprise encounter with a former lover. Former Lover has his Venus in Pisces @9 degrees, which conjoins my Sun@2 degrees and my Mercury@9 degrees, in my 7th house. At the time that I ran into him, Pisces was Rising @1 degree. He will be in my town again, soon and we made a plan to get together for an Astrology reading and to hang out. Who knows where that will lead. I am open to the possibilities, whatever they may be.
I crave the peace and quiet. Ive been removing myself from sm and will eventually stop using the technology as I need nature, not radiation pouring into me from my phone. Plus I love having a clear mind for creativity and my art.
Dear Debra, it could be me writing that! Im listning to all these podcasts when cooking driving!Im looking for my Phone and forgetting it! still have my daily paper though on paper delivered to my door, Now in summer I live in an island and a friend takes his canot and pick it up for me what a gem. It’s very expensive nowadays to have a paper newspaper you pay much less if you just read online, I enjoy my paper. My rising is Peixes and Venus in Virgo. Leo girl.
Still love books and I read not listning. I can read your blog but not books online.
