Eclipses- the strangest things can happen…

It’s time to pay attention to what was started in one and finished in the other.

First eclipse was Nov 19th in Taurus: I asked you, what you wanted to change in your narrative.

Money is the obvious Taurus storyline… add Scorpio and we ought to speak of our inner world, or maybe even sexuality and death. OK, here goes.

One of my very dearest friends lost her sister during this time to suicide. So sad. It was not a surprise at all, but nonetheless—the stinger is still hurting all of us who knew her. This is going to last for a very long time.

No doubt she is in a better world.
We are all left behind wondering: What is the meaning of a self-imposed death?
Is it wrong?
Is it an acceptable choice for those who are ready?
How will we hold her memory?
Will it be laced with pain? Her life was full of freedom…

This is the topic of this eclipse. Hard questions. A double Sagittarius sky and philosophy rules. These deep questions deserve our attention.

This quote says it all: “Where there is no vision, the people will perish.”

I want to probe your inner world and ask these giant Sagittarius questions:
What is your vision?
How do you see this world?
What are your aspirations?
Will you give up hope?
Are you aging and settling?
Do you have a dream?

I cannot live a life that is not saturated with hope and promises of a positive future. I seek it every day.

My son has been in town for Thanksgiving. Oh, how I give thanks for these hard-working millennials. There are plenty of young people who are seriously considering what is about to happen to our world as the climate crisis continues. And doing something about it.

My son is off to study regenerative agriculture as a means to absorb the carbon imprint we are all so guilty of.

As well, the young people deal with despair. Did you know that there are more teenage suicides then ever before? That hurts my heart so much.

I give thanks that my dear friend’s sister has been freed. Even if it’s not the popular point of view. She took her life, yes. Did I cry? Yes. Do I carry compassion for those left behind—her partner, her family, you bet. And yet, this was her choice.

What I did was let the pain run through my body, my eyes and then I began to ponder (welcome to Sag) what compels someone to take this life. Pain, a lot of pain.

One of my ways to make a difference is that I support this organization called: the Alliance of Hope.

I give thanks that my passion for this life is steeped in reverence and action. Every day I use the four elements to pay homage to this existence. Even when I don’t like it. My medicine remains the same: gratitude.

One of the greatest teachings I have ever received: Be thankful for all things. ALL THINGS? Yes, ALL things. There is nothing in the tapestry of this life that is not there for the teaching, learning, and healing to make us more aware.

Strange things happen between eclipses. It did for me, in more ways than one. I rise up. I say yes to this life even though it scares me how much I feel. Rise up and ask the hard questions: How can I find wisdom in the pain?

What happened to you and your loved ones during this eclipse?
I am so curious to hear. It could be a happy story, this just happened to be sad. This double sag sky demands we speak truth. I just shared mine with you.

Now you tell me: did this eclipse season affect you?

Blessings,
Debra

I was given an opportunity to show up and show off. It’s not where I want to be but a stepping stone in that direction. My double fire couldn’t resist seeing another side. Money is involved as well. I’m sorry for your suffering. Holding space for you and your friend. Xo

I’m sorry for your loss. Suicide is by far the hardest to come to terms with. My first born son committed suicide at 25. I had him at age 16, was in a really abusive relationship with his father that I nothing short of a miracle helped me to survive those times, just as my sons death left me— so much brokenness all around. He left behind a wife and two children age 2 and 5. Neither remember him, none of their family was allowed to speak of him, they grew up without him, and me as nana, in their lives.
This was 19 years ago on November 22. and I have dreaded the date ever since, the entire month of November really, but truly, every day has been rough in one manner or another.
I have tried to embrace the theory that I chose this experience, that he chose his— but it’s the most difficult thing to grab hold of. I’m not religious, have no god that I pray to, but, I am still here, I am still living, breathing, loving and hopefully, making a difference in this world. I have two grown children. My daughter is also taking the environmental science path, but she doesn’t have a whole loot of hope for the mess we’ve left these millennials.
I like your “cause” also, and just want to thank you for giving on their way.
Anyway… Your post today hit home, tho I do not claim to know how to reconcile this topic. For me personally, it’s just a matter of always putting one foot in front of the other, every single day. I think it’s the mystery of living that keeps me going. I’m sitting in a mall at a table thumbing this out on my phone. Just wanting to sit with you in this space of acceptance.
    Thanks for sharing.

  • Yes Debra, this Eclipse season has brought sudden change death, loss, freedom and the beginning of a realignment process. I look forward to answering the questions you posted.

Nov. 17 th my partner and I decided to end our 15 year relationship. He moved out Dec. 1 st

On the eve of the Eclipse Nov..18 th my 65 year old Down’s syndrome sister transitioned. The sister I only got to know in the past 20 years. She was taken away from my mother at birth. She lived a joyful life after being moved out of an institution into a community living style home. She taught us all about unconditional love and acceptance. The secrets are painful.

My emotions have been ebbing and flowing Cancer ♋️ Moon trine Scorpio ♏️ Moon Today!!!

It is my New Moon wish to join your Sacred Circle Intensive if there is a cancellation. There was too much happening for me the day of the enrolment. You said it yourself on the recording, Nancy from Niagara about to go over Niagara Falls. lol.

    Divine timing always??♥️?
    I’m sorry for your loss.

“I hear you, Debra.” — (NJ chuckles to self)

Ever since I dreamed about running away from you, in that great big house with lots of people, where I knew no one. I felt as if I was a poser, someone who was there under false pretenses, a trespasser, a dummy pretending to be smart and you were gonna figure it all out. So I had to escape that giant place, before you found me and exposed me as the interloper that I’d convinced myself I had become…
As I was tiptoeing furtively around the corner, you jumped right in front of me, at the base of stairs and said “Why are you running away from me, Norma Jean?” and then you giggled and I woke up.
I’ve actually been amazed at the things that I’ve “heard” (and learned) since that dream approximately 4 or 5 months ago.
Thanks Debra. Yes, I hear you. ❤️

During the eclipse my 99 yr old mother had to go to hosp and determined not safe to return to her apt
Had to scramble to find a memory care facility for her. Then my brothers and I had to clean out huge 2 bdrm apt. Meanwhile I came down with a cold and cough and a case of painful shingles on my side and chest. Now I have pink eye which is slowly healing. I have my moon in Sagittarius!.

  • Well Debra… I asked for a quiet week from FL. Within two days all my stuff got boxed up and shipped out and landed on my doorstep… all unbeknownst to me ??‍♀️ If that’s not a loud and clear message. The universe spoke … I am grateful. I believe I most likely dodged a bullet ??
    Big Love ?

This really hit home. I had to dry my eyes after every sentence I read. I have sun in Scorpio, Taurus ascendant and a Sag. Moon. I have been struggling and not getting anywhere for the past three years. My mother had a massive stroke three years ago and had to move in with me. I am an only child, No other family. She is my everything, but she needs 24/7 care , more care than a nursing facility could supply. I am glad she is here with me and safe, but I also had to suddenly give up every ounce of freedom I had, and everything I loved doing. I’ve been so depressed for so long that I’ve considered just about every possible way a person could end their own life. Chronic pain and financially destitute as well as not being able to go anywhere , along with Covid and not being able to have friends over has been brutal. My entire life is feeding and cleaning my mom. I am looking SO forward to this intensive workshop!! I can’t zoom so I am hoping the recordings are in a format I can access. I seriously need to understand all of this and find hope again. Thank you so much for everything you do.

This eclipse has sent be back underground and revisiting my solitary existence since the loss of hubby . A sensation that I don’t belong but a strong need to give back to society and yet not quite sure how …to date . I ask for clarity in this direction , …observing and accepting the unknown ?

This eclipse brought me the theme of how do I want to govern myself. I had two covid scares, had to decide to quit a job, and had to be set major boundaries with my child, family, and work. Whew, all difficult for me because part of me wants to be liked (Libra MC) and yet major Scorpio vibes are happening to me right now, Progressed Scorpio Moon in my 10th house, NN in Scorpio, NN conjunct my MC.

  • During this strange time I have had a mastectomy(nov26) – and am although I have not had a rage to live, I had had the most fantastic love, care and comfort from my children and friends – we here in British Columbia have been fraught with rain disaster with flooding and closures – and then there is our world where it’s beauty is being destroyed by chaos and torture and greed- and yet, I am filled with gratitude at the wonder of the human spirit and kindness that still abounds

My business partner and best friend passed away during this phase. I’ve been trying to get my head wrapped around it all, bet my footing back, and move forward in a way that honors her legacy in our practice.

  • Andre Louis-Visser says:

You asked about the eclipse..I live in Waukesha where a deeply disturbed man drove an suv through a parade route on November 21st, killing six and injuring 60+, several are still in hospital. This was so tragic and traumatic for everyone. I am dreading my first trip downtown since it happened and have to go there this weekend.

  • I thought about what lessons and wisdom came from my own experiences with pain as I was typing- my words turned my thoughts Into a poem. I don’t think anyone will read this, which is why I’m probably going to share it here! Much inspired by Deb & reflection of my own experiences….also the Serenity Prayer (I’m not in AA I don’t know if you have to be? But it’s one of my favorite prayers and helps keeps me growing! To no one reading this, I share the words from the notes of my iPhone below

“I’ve learned that even in the lowest lows where joy and sunshine once did not exist,
it was there in my heart that I can BE and sit still with.

    There I found the strength that instilled in me;
    The peace of Serenity
    Release of Acceptance
    His word that befriended me
And courage to feel all the great things God had in store for me
Blessings and lessons is what this life brings
And I’ll be here for it even if it stings ?”

It has been a very trying time. I had two friends lose their children the week of thanksgiving. One to a motorcycle accident & one to an overdose of fentanyl. I was thinking about joining a throuple. (3 in relationship) I’m not gay but since I survived pancreatic cancer I want to say yes to things that frighten me just in case I’m missing out on something. I’ve still not decided. Will the answer come soon?

  • Rebecca Moberly says:

The night of Nov 19, I came face to face with some ugly and heart breaking wounds and truth about my Momma. The 3rd yr mark of her passing was 2 days later on the 21. It was not neat contained and tidy. I shattered. I hold no grudge nor bitterness toward her. I HAD to face these wounds honestly. I had to name my emotions, which is hard for me. Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars in Aquarius. I’ve sought out healing since her passing. Done shadow work. I felt the weight gone that I had been packing. I’m experiencing many changes and honestly feel as though I’m just treading water at present. The gremlins have been here so long I can’t tell the difference. So so ready for this class.

  • Debbie Tate says:

Beautiful message, thank you, the thought that has been recurring for me this past two weeks is to be extremely thankful for the simple pleasures in life, the things that cost nothing but a little bit of your time, in this world gone crazy, walking with my feet in the sea and wandering through our local cemetery after rain with everything in full bloom, cuddles from all the fur babies I meet, simple pleasures but so so good for the soul ♥️
I do get saddened though at the amount of rubbish I pick up on my walk every day, there is so much plastic in our beaches, saddens my heart ?

  • Dreambeliver says:

I spent the start of the week with severe insomnia. It was strange and onset since I haven’t had an episode in a couple of years. It went on staggered one day of sleep one day up for 30 hrs. One day on, one day sleep. Strange. I didn’t feel anxious or afraid consciously but the exhaustion caused my vibration to lower and I felt like there is really something wrong with me and maybe I got life all wrong? Anyways very strong experience. Still reeling a bit.

  • Shawna says:

    Hi Debra,
I’m so sorry to hear that. I have also suffered from losing a few friends and family members in this life to suicide. It is so hard.
A few websites that helped me that you might want to check out and pass along to your friend are: whatsyourgrief.com and channelingerik.com (Erik also committed suicide and his mom Elisa has psychic mediums that channel Erik and he’s so cool).
You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.
    Love you lots,
    Shawna

  • I was thrilled to watch the eclipse and even though my son is in a sober living and I’m powerless over everything. I’m blessed that he’s alive and wanting help. He also has bi-polar episodes that can be scary and debilitating! I know he’s in a Higher Power’s care and I must trust. I put all my crystals out the night of the eclipse and have been energized since. I started a foundation called Stigma Free Peeps to open conversations about alcoholism, addiction and psychiatric disorders. The funds we raise are to give funds for people to get counseling, rehabilitation and sober living. It’s taking off since the eclipse.
    ♥️??

I love the four elements symbols after your name/title. Why is the “a” in Silverman red? It will drive me crazy not knowing lol. Sending love and light to you and your friend’s passing. I was 11 when I found my father dead in the next room after going through the motions to take his life and the gun went off and he was no more. Still haunts me today. Pisces sun, Libra moon, Scorpio rising. ?
