Sun in Virgo. Moon in Virgo.
Under this Double Virgo sky, I thought of the complications of being a Virgo. Seems in this life I collect these people. They are far more surprising than you would think. These traits start off obvious- and yet every Virgo (who is mutable) is filled with little surprises.
Everything on time- except when they are late, because they have so much to do. They have a schedule but hardly ever really, truly follow it.
They are organized- although they are a bit messy. They have books and journals and newspaper cuttings. Seemingly organized anyway- often their space is in piles, not all put away like you would imagine.
Certainly, they consistently demonstrate kindness, always thinking of the other- unless, of course, quietly inside their head they have noticed the issues you habitually repeat and mumble what bugs them under their breath.
Truly, they are the tireless giver. This one is absolutely true. Well-trained servants, always moving, they love to give, to fix anything broken, get things done, and then complete their day by checking things off their list. That’s like sex to them- it feels so good.
Often, they have little pieces of paper, receipts with notes on them. It’s easy for them to save old paper so as not to be wasteful. They save a lot of things for a very long time. They are sentimental.
You’ll find this sign dressed, with clean nails, carrying bountiful supplements, bringing flowers, and thinking a long time about buying you the perfect gift. They are really specific in noticing what you like.
What they neglect is their own priority. Health is their specialty, but when you aren’t looking, they eat all the things they know they ought not to.
What’s true about Virgo is they want to be Virgo-like and then criticize themselves because they cannot live up to their ideal. It’s sad that they are such good people with a strong critic that never realizes how sincere their heart is. They really do care.
Under this sky, what if you let yourself not just accept your idiosyncrasies, but actually realize what a profoundly good human you are?
I have several of these friends who say mean things about being a Virgo. I disagree. They are truly one of my favorite signs in the zodiac. I wish you could see your beauty as much as we do.
Good luck with that. It’s such a well-worn path of judgment that a Double Virgo lives with. It’s just plain sad.
Alice Bailey associated Virgo with Mother Mary, the virgin who performed a miracle steeped in her faith in God. Think about that. No judgment, just pure love.
Under this New Moon, stop and give yourself the gift: “I am doing so much better than my mind would have me believe. I am doing a great job.”

Beautifully said. I enjoyed reading that. Thank you. I hope your day is filled with blessings.
This description is the most accurate and detailed of all the other examples I have read in my life! It highlights how much I truly care about others in my life versus how I care for myself. I truly appreciate the way this article described the Virgo in comparison to the Virgin Mary. Never thought of it that way! Much appreciated!
This Virgo sends you a big thank you. She feels seen and appreciated in her organised Virgo chaos.
As a double Virgo(rising and moon). I feel so seen with this post. The new moon is occurring conjunct my rising degree this year. It feels important. Looking forward to what’s to come. Thanks for being part of my journey DSA.
As a Virgo. September 18 1962
I can fully confirm that everything you said is true!!!
My mantra for many years now is
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change
Change what I can
and infuse me with the wisdom to know the difference
Thank you for your continued service and dedication to help and educate
Hi Debra, thank you for this! I only have a Virgo moon, but all of that resonated with me. I’m a double cancer so combined with my Virgo moon I’m quite the giver and harsh inner critic working on being compassionate with myself is something I have to remind myself of frequently. i’m so excited to learn more of your methodology and wisdom in the upcoming applied Astrology 1 I am enrolled in next week.
As a Virgo Moon I needed to read this. Thank you!
I am very much the Virgo you just described, and laughed out loud with some of your prose! Thank you for reminding me the gift to myself in your closing sentence. :))
Beautifully said!
Virgo Sun, Gemini Moon, and Sag Rising here. Yes, I’d have to agree with you. I’m not that tidy, lol. Lots of stuff in piles laying around. You should see my jewelers bench. What a mess! I love being a Virgo. Lot’s of hobbies 🙂
Debra,
That is the most spot on description of me ever!
I’m going to print it and save that paper forever! Ha! 😂
Thank you for your insights. I will try to pamper myself a little next week on my birthday.
Take care,
Pam 🐞
That’s me to a tee. I’m a Virgo . September 10th. You’re right I don’t take care of my health. And am always criticizing myself.
Oh this is gold Debra!!!
I loved hearing about the accuracy of my Virgo Sun. I can be so critical, other people’s repetitive habits really annoy me, it’s one of the many things I loathe about myself. I love neatness and order, but I am so messy, with piles of books, paper and collected bits all over the house. You can see where I’ve been 😂 I have a Cancer moon and Pisces rising which I feel adds to my messy habits. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Loved reading this article Deb. All the best bosses I’ve ever worked for ate Virgo suns. I’ll keep this in mind as a cancer sun, cap-moon girl.
Thank you! X Gemma
