New Moon in Cancer, Sun in Cancer
No one ever tells you that double Cancer is an indicator of one of the strongest body types in Astrology. Under this New Moon (Sun and Moon in Cancer), we address the emotional temperature of our world while we are shaking our heads.
This New Moon is asking us to acknowledge that the perfect balancing factor of pain and craziness is: vulnerability, which lends itself to inner strength and the real cultivation of wisdom. That is what we have in times like this, assisting us in our sensitivity – inner strength, and wisdom.
I am presently in the midst of a 12-day cleanse, on site at a place called Angel Farms
on the big island of Hawaii, working on clearing out my colon and releasing the past. Speaking of the past – who is the sign with the greatest memory? Cancer.
In the past, too many of us have left our hope, our trust, our sense of the future; so many of us have lived with dreams of what could/should have been. That’s what life is for, to dream and create a beautiful existence – with what is.
However, not if you are living in the Middle East, including Gaza and Iran. Not if you are in Sudan or Ukraine – these people’s dreams have been shattered, disintegrated, and left only to seek mere survival, day to day.
Some of you may know my Midheaven is in Cancer. I really feel as though you, who are reading this, are my family. I believe every single human, good or bad, is all part of the same lineage. I am on this planet to hold the heart of humanity. It’s a giant job.
I know that my faith and devotion to our creator eclipses any notions of separation and despair. So I regularly cry, and listen for the pain, trying to diminish the toxicity so I can return as quickly as possible to joy. I call this the sweet and sour sauce dance, and I practice it all the time.
In this cleanse everyday, we sit on a colema board (a colema, or colon hydrotherapy, is an irrigation device for the self-administration of a colon cleanse) while listening to the wisdom from Cindy Sellers, the creator of this process, or Eckart Tolle, Neil Walsh, or Chief Seattle. Words of wisdom run through my head while my body is being cleansed for an hour and half, constantly reminding me that:
- This creation is magnificent, especially the miraculous functioning of this body.
- That unexpressed emotions live in my colon with memories that too often are not released.
- All I have to do is pray, ask for help, and turn on my Observer – the part of me who is calm and neutral.
- We must remember who we are in order to offer compassion for one and all.
The person running this program has no idea who I am, is not into Astrology, they’re simply allowing me to be a participant. Within five days, my blood pressure regulated so that I no longer needed the pills. Within five days, my skin and body felt shiny and clear again. Not without some struggle.
All of this is to say that when we are under a sky like this, a double Cancer New Moon – we feel the pain of the collective, not to mention our own personal plight. It comes with the perpetual invitation that we have a choice.
My choice is to continually heal, study, and learn, but most of all: to give thanks.
I have been shocked by what my body held onto. I am in awe of the unfathomable wisdom of the body that can heal with such immediacy. I have fallen in love with the miracle of this life all over again. Even with how much it hurts me that we, as a species, are so victimized by our operating system.
I have realized that there are so many of us here who are not giving thanks each day. And that is our job.
I am pleading with you to find your gratitude, daily. To feel your feelings. To seek healing. To know that we are all in this together. Yes, said the Astrologer, these are the strangest of times, and they can be the best of times, once you are in your Observer and see through the eyes of love.

Meaning I’m here to anchor the energetic template of what we are here to create, to align the energy of the Planet. As well as to hold the energy template of what’s to come & to clear the vibration of the Collective Consciousness.

Thank you for sharing your experience in cleansing yourself. You are a good example of what the human is capable of. It takes strength to go there as I’m sure it wasn’t easy hitting those vulnerable spots (of the past) in the process.
My Cancerean mom also taught me to fully address life’s curve balls (also by owning your feelings) so that you can WASH your hands of it and move on. Another phrase as you mentioned comes to mind….”Sabrina, we always have choices in life.”
My mom’s birthday is July 7th also the day Uranus finally moves OUT of my sign, Taurus. Talk about curve balls! I know how to throw’em back like never before.

Dear friend … I know we have a big job I know you dont know me but there it is .. been study the star since I am young int was always a mystory for more when we were going in ours summer little shack in ancestors birth pieces a land …. anyway since 2020 I am in anything that is spiritual like tarot … why because my grand father whom was nations .. whom I didn’t wake up my third eye as a seer more after my father past away when I was 13 after that sign comming in and out even in my time of darkness .. Debra, as a colon hydrotherapist, I can absolutely swear that colon cleansing is a MUST. I went to colon hydrotherapy school and use colonics often. My daily ritual is a coffee enema with meditation. Excellent way to start your day! In love and light❤️
