Who says there are no good men anymore… They do exist!

Sun in Cancer. Moon in Capricorn

I just finished working with someone with this exact Full Moon configuration: Sun in Cancer and Moon in Capricorn. This has to be one of the most powerful Full Moons of the year- let’s talk about it.

A man with integrity is not a thing of the past.

The major reasons that the human condition works as it does include the two influences of this Full Moon. 

The energy of Cancer describes human vulnerability. We cry, we care, we get attached to all that we love- starting with the infant that we immediately love upon their arrival, or the puppy or kitten that steals our heart from day one. Our family elicits love just because they have our last name. Our connection with grandparents can last a lifetime, even after they are gone. Beyond logic, we instinctively fall in love, and have ever since the beginning of time.

Let me illustrate this in real time.

The man I was working with had a story that included a 25-year marriage, two children he was devoted to, and a financial success story. He was a great dad, a great provider, and an even better businessman. The energy of a Full Moon in Capricorn, on the high road, reveals stability and integrity.

An impeccable example of a “real man” who cared, worked, and served. A role model- an old-fashioned, hardly ever seen, honorable man.

As life would have it, his wife, who suffered from mental health issues, needed therapy for years. Finally, inspired by a good therapist it was suggested that they go as a couple to use  sacred plant medicine as a healing tool.

After many sessions of therapy in many modalities, years went by. Her illness continued, while the sacred medicine and the constant therapy did well to inform both of them how to try to help his wife. In true Cancerian nature, he just stayed the course until Pluto arrived and insisted that he put his attention on his own healing (Pluto hit exact degree in his chart). Eventually, this ended the marriage.

What struck me in his story was the impeccable nature of Cancer combined with Capricorn. His devotion. His beautiful relationship with his children. How he consciously ended the relationship and worked toward a mutually beneficial ending that protected his wife’s safety and security, without resistance.

As unusual as he was as a husband, his integrity remained equally intact while he ended their relationship.

A simple tale of why I love this combination.

What would this life be like if we all lived with values that cared for others as we care for ourselves? That knew how to stay close to our children, yet set them free to be their true nature? To provide wealth and wise business values that generate success for all concerned? To know when to leave when the time arrives, with kindness and counsel, making it honorable even in its pain?

My father had this combination, only upside down. He was a Capricorn with a Moon in Cancer. While there were differences, that hard, solid value system that describes emotional integrity has long been my teacher.

I love the masculine energy that gives, has boundaries, stays the course, and, in the case of my client, demonstrates emotional wisdom.

Hope is recovered every time I get to sneak into someone’s psyche who came into this life with solid values.

There are these old-fashioned values- in men, in our sons, and in those who carry past-life wisdom- that are actually quite ordinary, yet appear extraordinary during an era that is moving us toward AI, which cannot cry and does not choose hard work or integrity through free will. We are living in an era where tradition is slipping away, but not for everyone. Some remember the lost art of humanism.

I wanted to share this with you to say… old-fashioned values still exist.

We are going to meet in July to look at the timeline of our planet – from Earth’s geological history, including the Ice Ages, to facing climate issues, to looking through the lens of Kabbalah as a source of wisdom describing these shifts.

We have seen this all before, and that gives us hope.

That’s what this Full Moon is all about when seen through the lens of Astrology.
